My second build, pretty much flawless. I spray painted the transformer bell black (for style, and it prevents rust). I also replaced the stock volume knob with a nicer one. The Bottlehead Crack is a superb introduction into the world of DIY audio. The parts quality is very good, the documentation is truly excellent, the Bottlehead forums provide fantastic peer-to-peer assistance, and construction is very easy. Bottlehead will be transitioning to a universal power transformer in the upcoming Crack 1.1, but still has a quantity of 120VAC only Crack kits to offer before that happens.
