The Windows-based UPS WorldShip software uses a database on the computer on which it's installed to give you access to account and contact data needed for UPS shipping features like label printing, customs documentation and shipment reports. UPS WorldShip is meant to be installed on a single workstation, though it can be configured to operate for a single user or in a workgroup capacity so multiple users can access the shipping features. When you transition the software to a new computer, you will first need to save the UPS databases and WorldShip data from the old system using the export feature of the software.
1.Launch the WorldShip software on the older computer.
2.Tap or click 'Move WorldShip Data to Another Computer' from the Manage Data menu.

Tap or click 'Backup,' then click 'Browse' to navigate to and select a folder to which you'd like to back up the WorldShip files. Click 'OK,' then 'Exit.'
4.Navigate to the location where you saved your backup folder and copy or save it in a location that is accessible from the new computer. You can do this in a number of ways -- for example, save the folder to a flash drive, upload it to a cloud storage server like Google Drive, or create a ZIP archive of the folder and email it to yourself.
5.Install the WorldShip software on the new computer, using the same location to install it on the new computer as was used on the old one. For example, if the old computer had it installed at C:Program FilesUPS, be sure the new one does as well. If the install locations do not match, the data will not transfer correctly.
6.Check the box next to 'Finish Moving WorldShip Data' in the UPS WorldShip Setup window.
7.Click 'Browse' in the Finish Moving WorldShip Data window, then navigate to and select the backup folder you saved on the old computer.
Warning
- UPS suggests that you do not use the 'Copy (Backup) WorldShip Data Before an Upgrade' command to export the data from the old computer. This command generates an incorrect path and the transfer cannot be completed properly.

WorldShip Software Requirements
UPS WorldShip Software 2011 is offered as a free download from the UPS website. However, to use WorldShip as a network, then it must be installed via CD. The CD can be ordered from the UPS WorldShip website. WorldShip requires an operating system of Windows Vista or newer and requires 1GB of memory. All users must also have a UPS account.
LAN Configuration
A LAN configuration is required to install UPS WorldShip on a group network, which allows multiple computer users and shippers to process packages from a common database. First, a LAN Administrative workstation must be installed, then one or more remote LAN workstations are installed to share the Administrative workstation's database. The database cannot be shared on a network file server. All of the shippers will share a network drive folder as well.
LAN Administrative Workstation
Set up the LAN Administrative workstation by first creating a shared Microsoft folder on the Administration workstation drive. Insert the WorldShip software CD into the drive and begin the installation. Choose a language, click 'Next' on the 'Welcome to WorldShip Setup Program' screen, then select 'Workgroup Admin (LAN Admin)' on the 'Installation Type Selection' screen. Choose the shared Microsoft folder to install the WorldShip software. Complete the installation on the Administrative workstation computer.
Remote Workstation
Insert the UPS WorldShip installation CD into each Remote workstation computer drive and begin the installation. Choose a language, click 'Next' on the 'Welcome to WorldShip Setup Program' screen, then select 'Workgroup Remote (LAN Remote)' on the 'Installation Type Selection' screen. Choose the same shared Microsoft folder as the Administrative workstation to install the WorldShip software. Complete the installation on the Remote workstation computers.
